SENIOR ACCOUNTANT

1. 40% Ledger Maintenance and Support
-- Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations, i.e. deferred revenue recognition.
-- Compile quarterly balance sheet review schedules
-- Assist in the preparation of revenue schedules, monthly reporting and ad-hoc analysis
-- Monitor compliance with GAAP and company policies and procedures
-- Reviews, investigates and corrects errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports
2. 40% Financial Analysis Support
-- Compile and analyzes financial information through the preparation of journal entries
-- Point finance person for processing Intercompany invoices and account reconciliations
-- Ensure monthly, quarterly and year-end financial statements are complete, accurate and conform to GAAP, SOX and company policy
-- Audits contracts, orders and vouchers and prepares reports to substantiate individual transactions prior to settlement.
-- Determines proper handling of financial transactions and approves transactions within designated limits documenting business transactions.
3. 15% Month End Close and Accounting Department Support
-- Ensures that month end reporting ties out thru Oracle ERP
-- Write Dynamics and Oracle Finance reports as needed
-- Assist with other Accounting department tasks and special projects
-- Interact with all accounting team members and other corporate employees
1. 5% Other Duties as assigned
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting required
- 5+ years of accounting experience preferred
- 3+ years of experience with GAAP revenue recognition,
- Revenue recognition experience with software licensing highly preferred
- Experience with Excel
- Experience with Dynamics and Oracle preferred
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
- Knowledge of GAAP and IFRS standards
- Skillful in Windows environment computer applications and MS Office set
- Good auditing and calculating skills
- Ability to multitask through effective priority setting
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail is required
- Ability to maintain high levels of accuracy
- Excellent communication, judgment and teamwork skills are necessary
- Must be a self-starter that shows ownership and commitment to the job
Other (license/certification):
- CPA preferred

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
