Atomology is a software company based in Utah, USA that has clients across the globe. Our product is an online business management suite covering everything from employee management, customer management, workflow, estimating and invoicing, reporting, accounting and more.
About the position:
The Database Administrator (DBA) works with the executive team and developers to quickly improve and enhance the existing software applications. The DBA will be responsible for supporting SQL Server database performance, availability, troubleshooting, and maintaining backups. Responsibilities also include implementation of database and application changes as required.
You will be expected to consistently provide excellent results based on instructions given, as well as represent the company's needs and goals within the organization to ensure quality. In addition, you should continue to research and learn new technologies to aid and assist the development and executive team.
We allow you to work from home and for the most part set your own schedule as long as deadlines are met.
About you:
You are extremely hard working and happily crank away at things that interest you for 12
hours a day. You don't care very much for office politics and measure your success according to results. The concept high risk, high reward resonates with you, and the thought of slugging it out at a breakneck pace excites you. You work well under pressure and need minimal direction to carry out responsibilities.
You communicate in a professional and courteous manner. Good communication skills are a must. You are self-motivated and have a great work ethic. You enjoy working under pressure of deadlines and don't get frustrated easily.
You will need to learn our system and structure quickly. A diverse background and experience will greatly assist you.
About Pay:
The position will receive a base monthly salary plus paid time off, bonuses and opportunities to advance. Soon you should become proficient in your responsibilities and able to take on more work.
About skills and needs:
You must have an excellent working knowledge of:
-MS SQL Server 2008 R2, 2012
-SQL Server Management Studio
-Knowledge of C#
-Stored Procedures
It is a great plus to have experience in any of the following web development technologies: WebForms, MVC, jQuery/JSON and ASP.NET Web API, Javascript, jQuery, CSS, AJAX, Microsoft Reporting Services (SSRS).
