Position Description
The Sr. Risk Support Specialist will be an integral part of our growing Merchant Acquiring line of business and will be responsible mitigating overall financial exposure from our Merchant Acquiring customer portfolio.
Specific Responsibilities will include:
Communicate with merchants via telephone regarding exception activity and request additional information, as necessary, and contact card issuing banks and/or cardholders regarding merchant exception activity;
Communicate with customer service, sales representatives, collections and other internal departments affected by merchant investigations;
Support customer service and sales representatives in addressing customer issues;
Strengthen client relationships through education and training on proper card acceptance, procedures limiting/negating risk of potential losses;
Assume responsibility for account analysis and investigation, on a case by case basis;
Monitor chargeback reporting and identify potential risk/losses
Qualifications
Demonstrate advanced ability to perform day to day risk management and loss prevention activities as assigned for the company's acquiring portfolio
Understanding of the Chargeback process and associated reason codes;
Knowledge of the Visa/MasterCard rules/regulations ;
Demonstrate ability to network and maintain an active contact list within the card risk environment;
Excellent writing, interpersonal and communication skills;
Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities;
Advanced knowledge of Windows/PC including Excel and Word;
1 to 3 years experience in Acquiring or Issuing fraud departments
