The Senior Content Engineer is responsible for managing the item-development process of large test-development projects in the IT market. The Senior Content Engineer conducts meetings with IT subject matter experts to write and review IT examination items, assemble examinations using proprietary software, and ensure that test schedules are developed and maintained. The Senior Content Engineer is also responsible for managing project-specific item databases to ensure the accuracy of items and the export of test forms. The Senior Content Engineer also participates in the building, testing, releasing, localizing, and maintaining of each product. This Senior Content Engineer will also be responsible for programming test items in a variety of coding languages.

Responsibilities
Content Management 45%
Learn and use content management systems, processes, and policies
Review and evaluate content for consistency and accuracy to certification industry standards
Analyze and improve item performance
Plan maintenance of existing content
Programming 45%
Maintain performance items through coding fixes
Program test items using a variety of programming languages
Code new item types for cutting edge certification programs
Project Management 5%
Help develop overall schedules
Set deadlines and manage contractors schedules
Track due dates for multiple projects and participate in daily status meetings
Facilitation - 5%
Create workshop materials
Work with other facilitators to refine shared meeting facilitation needs
Facilitate Item Training, JTA workshops, Tech Reviews, Standard setting meetings, and other meetings
Conduct in house training on exam development process industry standards.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent
5
years professional IT professional test development experience
1
year of professional technical project management experience or equivalent
5
years of content editing (grammar, spelling), Blooms taxonomy application experience
5
years as a Software Engineer using C++, Java, JavaScript, or PHP
2
years of Web application and Web development experience
Strong knowledge of all Microsoft Office products
MCP Credentials (MCSA, MCSE, MCSD) required
Cisco Credentials (CCNA, CCNP, CCIE) preferred
Experience with Microsoft, Cisco, and other IT certification programs
A background in the testing and assessment industry is required. Item and Test Development experience, as well as training experience, is required.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
