Summary:
Test software prior to its release to ensure it meets the company and customer's expectations. Derive test cases from product specifications. Execute test cases based on the product test plan. Correctly analyzes test results. Consult with development engineers and product analysts in identification and resolution of problems. Thoroughly document and report all problems, and work to ensure problems are resolved adequately.Review product documentation for technical accuracy.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Exercises repetitive testing procedures on the software, to ensure it meets company and customer expectations
Researches, reproduces, and concisely document problems found
Derives test cases from product specifications
Executes test cases based on product test plan(s)
Installs and configures operating systems and third-party applications for testing purposes
Builds and maintains hardware for testing purposes
Reviews product documentation for technical accuracy
Participates in special projects and performs other duties as required
In addition to the essential duties and responsibilities listed above, all positions are also responsible for:
Meeting company standards pertaining to quantity and quality of work performed on an ongoing basis, performing all work related tasks in a manner that is in compliance with all Company policies and procedures including WorldWide Business Standards.
Adhering to Company policies, procedures, and directives regarding standards of workplace behavior in completing job duties and assignments.
Experience:
1-3 years software quality assurance experience.
Specialized Knowledge and Skills:
Technical computer skills/knowledge required. Ability to install/configure client/server environment desirable. SQL experience desirable. Writing clearly and concisely is required. Web-based testing experience desirable.
Other:
Must possess a good working attitude, with enthusiasm to perform job requirements. Should be organized, punctual, and be able to follow direction. Knowledge of DENTRIX and/or other HSPS software products, and dental terminology are desirable. Must be detail oriented and enjoy repetitive tasks.
